Transaction and balance enquiries

We recommend that you register your Card at the ‘My Account’ page on this website, where you can see your State Bank Foreign Travel Card balance and check any recent transactions. Alternatively, you can phone our Card Services team to use the automated balance service.

You may also be able to make a balance enquiry at some ATMs, although availability is dependent on the country and the ATM used. No fees are charged by state Bank of India, However, there may be a fee charged by the ATM operator for balance enquiries. If an ATM displays a balance for the Card in USD or in a different currency, the displayed balance may vary from the actual balance on your Card as the exchange rate used by the ATMs to calculate Card balance may be different from the rate used by us. That’s why it is recommended that you use the online through 'My Account' or telephone balance enquiry services.

Please Note:- ATMs will not display a separate balance for each currency. An accurate balance for each currency can be obtained through 'My Account' only.

If you have any queries about your State Bank Multi-Currency Foreign Travel Card balance or you notice a Card transaction that you do not recognise, please notify the 24 hour Card Services team as soon as possible (please note that Card transactions can only be queried up to a maximum of thirty (30) days of the transaction debit date). Card Services will be happy to check and confirm the transaction details for you.

If there is a transaction that is not correct, Card Services can start the dispute process on your behalf and may request you to provide additional written information concerning any unrecognised transaction, or to complete a dispute form (click here for more information). Please help them to assist you by providing as much information as you can.

It is recommended that you check your transaction history and Card balance at least once a fortnight.
